World Poker Tour Still Popular With Online Casino Players

Online casino gamers to flock to the 8th series of the world poker tour at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas.

The World Poker Tour (WPT) has become a huge success with online casino gamers both overseas and in the U.S. The series of international poker events, which started back in late 2002, is in its eight season with a new schedule of events just being released with the tour kicking off and finishing at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada starting July 13th!

The WPT is a series of Texas Hold’em Poker games which are held in mainly in the U.S. and are broadcast each year to millions of avid poker fans and online casino players. The eighth season is sure to see both new and old players battle it out to be the last person at the tables. It is thanks, in part to both the television broadcasts and the sponsorship of online casinos and poker sites that the tournament (and the game of poker) has seen such a huge increase in popularity.

The tour kicks off in just two weeks, beginning on July 13th with the Bellagio Cup V tournament, ending on July 19th. Next the tour heads to Los Angeles between August 22nd-26th at The Bicycle Casino for the Legends of Poker tournament and then to Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City for the Borgata Poker Open between September 19th-24th.

The tour is also making stops in Connecticut in November for the Foxwoods World Poker Finals, in Mississippi in January for the Southern Poker Championship, in San Jose’s Bay 101 for the Shooting Star tournament in March, and also at a new stop, Lawrenceburg, Indiana for the Hollywood Poker Open.

The Bellagio Hotel & Casino will also be playing host to three other events, the Festa Al Lago tournament in October, the Doyle Brunson Five Diamond World Poker Classic in December and the WPT Championship while L.A. will get to host a second pair of tournaments at the Commerce Casino in February/March.
